Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS)
20 March 2026
Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, global shipping operations are experiencing increased pressure from rising fuel costs and operational disruptions. As a result, an Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) is being introduced across major shipping lines as part of broader market adjustments.
EFS levels may vary by carrier and trade lane, with recent adjustments typically ranging between USD 150–300 per TEU.
As this adjustment is driven by carrier and market conditions, TESN will pass on these charges where applicable.
At TESN, we remain committed to maintaining strong operational resilience and ensuring reliable, consistent shipment delivery while keeping our customers informed with transparent updates.
